Attendance
Our families play an essential role in their child's educational success and personal growth. Regular school attendance is directly related to success in academic work. It also benefits students socially, provides opportunities for important communication between teachers and students, and establishes regular habits of dependability important to the student's future. Thank you for your partnership in ensuring that your child is consistently in class and prepared with the items they need (iPad, homework, lunch, etc.). When they cannot be in class, please let us know by using the information below.

Early Pickup
If your child will be picked up early, please notify the office in advance by email, ighmsattendance@isd199.org, or phone call, 651-306-7878 or 651-306-7200. If anyone other than a guardian is picking up your child, please give us the name of that person. We will ask for an ID when signing your child out.
We will try to have your student in the office when you arrive. However, please be aware that pickup may take longer if your child is being picked up during physical education class, music, or lunch. Pickup may also be delayed if the weather is nice and your child is outside for their FLEX class, 12:57-1:22 PM.
Illness During the School Day
When your child is feeling ill and thinks they need to go home, they should report to the nurse’s office. The nurse will call you to determine if the child should be picked up.
Please be aware that your child should not text or call you as phones and other digital devices are not allowed to be used during school hours.
Dropping Off Items for Your Child
When you drop off your child's school-issued iPad, we will immediately contact the student to pick it up. For all other items dropped off, we will send an email to the student.
Students should check their emails or stop into the office between classes to see if their item has been dropped off.
